Welcome to the 2020-21 school year! While it may not be “business as usual” this year, we are still off to a running start! In a typical year, the PTO works to raise funds for some of the current year’s projects, but also raises the funds for the nextschool year (including thousands of dollars toward our schools’ numerous club offerings). In addition, we want to ensure that we are prepared to celebrate our 6th and 8th graders at the end of the year, in whatever way we will be able to. Obviously, with the closure of schools this past spring and the limitations on activities we can hold this year, this is a daunting task, and next year’s budget is in danger of being greatly reduced.
How can you help? First, you can take part in our annual Membership Drive! Joining the PTO will keep you informed about activities and fundraisers and gives you the opportunity to help financially. To make membership as accessible as possible, it is only $5 per family to join; however, additional donations are always appreciated, this year more than any other! You can help us kick off a successful year by becoming a PTO member HERE.
In addition, keep an eye out for our upcoming fundraisers. We are partnering with DIY Nailed It of Marlton, offering Take-Home Kits for you to get crafty with your families at home. We will be offering a chance to have your family portraits taken by All Seasons Photography, proceeds of which will benefit the HHSPTO. And we’re helping you prepare for Thanksgiving by partnering with Boaggio’s Breads, who will be baking all kinds of delicious desserts for you to order ahead of time and simplify your holiday. Last, don’t forget to log on to our virtual PTO meeting on Wednesday, October 7 at 7:00 PM, via thisZoom link!
To stay up to date, be sure to “like” us on Facebook, as we will be actively posting about all of our activities. We will also update this webpage regularly. In addition, thanks to the great office staff at Hartford, messages will be sent out through PowerSchool and Remind.
We hope you are all safe and healthy, and look forward to seeing you all in the not-so-distant future!
